The purpose of the Council is to effectively organize academic work, educational-methodological work, activities related to the upbringing of personnel, improve the pedagogical qualifications of the faculty, effectively implement research results into the educational process, coordinate academic and educational-methodological activities, and recommend necessary literature for publication.
Tasks of the Council:
to participate in increasing the effectiveness of the educational-methodological support of the educational process and ensuring the fundamental basic and practical professional training of students;
to organize the educational process on the basis of modern forms and methods of teaching, pedagogical, information-communication, and innovative technologies that ensure the close connection of theoretical training with law enforcement activity, and the formation in students of analytical thinking, and the skills of independently acquiring and using knowledge;
to ensure the compliance of educational-methodological materials aimed at improving the quality and level of teaching disciplines with established requirements;
to participate in the training of pedagogical personnel and in improving their professional skills and potential;
to coordinate the academic and educational-methodological activities of departments;
to exercise public control over the implementation of academic, educational-methodological, and methodological work.
Rights of the Council:
to participate in improving the educational process;
to monitor the organization of the educational process on the basis of modern forms and methods of teaching, pedagogical, information-communication, and innovative technologies;
to exercise control over the analysis of students’ academic performance based on the results of various types of assessment and over the evaluation criteria;
to adopt decisions mandatory for implementation by relevant departments regarding the improvement of academic and educational-methodological processes;
to hear reports of departments on the implementation of academic, educational-methodological, methodological, spiritual-educational, and upbringing work;
to consider issues related to the dissemination of advanced pedagogical experience and its implementation into practice;
to recommend prepared textbooks, lecture courses, monographs, educational and educational-methodological manuals for publication;
to monitor the implementation of decisions and instructions of the University Council and leadership regarding the organization of the educational process;
to recommend candidates from among the faculty for participation in various competitions;
to recommend student candidates for participation in subject Olympiads and various competitions;
to conduct sociological surveys related to the University’s academic activities and, based on their results, take measures to improve the educational process.
The Educational-Methodological Council is formed consisting of a chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, and members. Upon the recommendation of the chairperson, major employers, representatives of the public, and students may be included in the Council as members. The Council meeting is held at least once a month.
